In Memory of Cathy Cow
With heavy hearts, the East Hill Farm family and barn staff announce the passing of our beloved Jersey cow Cathy. She passed peacefully on December 18.
Cathy came to East Hill Farm from Crescent Farm in Walpole in 2004. She was 3 years old at the time and was specially selected for East Hill Farm because of her easy going disposition and patience with her human friends. Since her arrival, she has had many beautiful calves, always passing on her good nature.
One of the calves that she leaves behind is a beautiful cow named Callie. Callie is stepping into her mothers’ role as our hand milking cow with families that come to visit the farm.
We feel very lucky to have known and worked with Cathy, a patient cow is sometimes hard to come by. She spent countless hours being hand milked by beginner farmers young and old! So many guests and farmers alike have fond memories of Cathy, and we will hold them close to our hearts.
Rest in Peace dear Cathy.
Please feel free to share your memories of Cathy.
I am sure Roger will take good care of her now – RIP Cathy
I’m so sorry for your loss EHF ! She was a large part of my childhood at the farm ❤I will always carry her with me on my foot
Love your EHF tattoo!
Kathy is my favorite cow in the world! She is in every farm visit memory for countless years and I will miss her terribly! This past summer, I even painted a picture of her.
We miss her too. Please share your picture of Cathy if you would like.
Rest in peace mom, your daughter Cathys Cora.
