Frequently Asked Questions

When are you open?
We are open every day of the year. Our office is open daily from 8:00am until 9:00pm.

When do you offer activity programs for children?
Most weekends are family weekends which include activities for the whole family. Activities are also offered during school vacations and all summer long. Please refer to our event calendar for more details.

Is there a pool at the Farm?
We have two outdoor and one indoor swimming pools. There is one hot tub outside and one inside. We also have a sauna within the indoor pool area. We recommend that you bring pool towels, as they are not provided.

Can we get a babysitter?
Let us know if you would like a babysitter and we will arrange this service for you. The babysitter will provide their own transportation to East Hill Farm. We suggest $12-$15 per hour.

Do you serve alcohol?  
We do not have a liquor license, however you can bring your own alcohol and consume anywhere on the property. There are many local spots to purchase liquor, wine and great local craft beer.

What are your meals like?
Our meals are home cooked and all you can eat. Each family has their own separate table and meals are served family style. We serve a hearty farmer's breakfast  and lunch is a buffet featuring many hot and cold dishes with a featured item.  Dinner is typically two or three entree choices with appetizers and sides. Our children's menu includes; hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, pizza, spaghetti, or macaroni and cheese.

Can you accommodate special diets?
Please provide us with advance notice and we will accommodate special diets including vegetarian, gluten free, and food allergies.

What time are meals served?
Breakfast is served 8;00-9:00. Lunch is served 12:00-1:00. Dinner is served 6:00-7:00. Friday night dinner is usually served at 6:30 to accommodate for those arriving later in the evening.

Can we sign up for horseback riding in advance?
Sign ups for equestrian riding activities must be done in person. The equestrian staff needs to meet with the potential rider to evaluate his/her ability, experience and size. Riding availability is on a first come, first served basis.  Children must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult in their party. All participants in our equestrian program will be required to sign a release form (If rider is a minor, release must be signed by parent or responsible adult), wear a safety helmet, follow all rules and directions and wear proper clothing and footwear.  Note-  Riding is contingent on the weather.

Do you have sledding in the winter?
We do have sledding on the premises in the winter. Everyone must use the Farm's sleds and can only go sledding during our supervised sledding activity.

Are there phones or televisions in the rooms?
Our guest rooms do not have phones. There is a public phone located near the ski rental shop for guest use. Cell phone service is spotty and is best for those with AT&T as a service provider.

Television is available in deluxe rooms and the Brick House. There is a family TV lounge and an adult TV lounge downstairs in the main inn near the indoor pool.

Is there internet access at the farm?
Yes.  We have free wireless internet access available. We refer to our internet as "Country WiFi". Due to our location, it can be spotty at times.

How can people reach me?
If people need to reach you in case of an emergency they can call 603-242-6495, 24 hours a day.

What is the closest airport?
Manchester, NH is an hour and a half away. Hartford, CT is two hours away.  Boston, MA is two hours away. 

How does gratuity work?
Gratuity must be left by either cash or check. We do not accept gratuity by credit card. A suggested 15% of your room charge, (before tax and extras are added) is provided at check out, although you are welcome to leave whatever you deem appropriate.  If you leave your gratuity in the office at the end of your stay it will be divided among the staff to your preference.

Can we bring our dog?
Dogs are welcome in Basic Rate rooms and cottages. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. They are not allowed in the dining room or any public rooms. We also ask that you pick up after your dog.

What time is check-in and check-out?
You can arrive anytime during the day but we do not guarantee your room until 3:00. Please let us know in advance if you plan on arriving for lunch. Lunch is served from 12:00-1:00. We ask that you check out of your room by 10:00am the day of check out.

When is the skating rink open?
Our skating rink is indoors but is not refrigerated. Therefore it is usually open late December to early March.

Are there laundry facilities on the premises?
We have a laundry room located in the basement of the Village Bunkhouse.  There are two coin operated washers and two dryers.  Detergent can be purchased in the office. The cost is $1.50 per wash and per dry.

How many rooms does the Inn have and how large is the property?
The Inn at East Hill Farm is a 150 acre working farm, with 65 guest rooms. There are three swimming pools (one indoor and two outdoor), a barnyard filled with animals, a pond for fishing and boating, as well as 12 kilometers of wooded trails for hiking and snowshoeing.

Do you have trails for hiking?
There are 12 kilometers of marked trails for hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing on our property.  Locally, there trails for Mt. Monadnock and Gap mountain.  Ask for trail maps in our office.
