Sally’s Country Style Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

Ingredients: Sally's BBQ Ribs
1 cup catsup
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup vinegar
1 cup water
A good sized Tablespoon of caraway seed
EHF Country Style Pork Ribs (about 3 pounds, or 4 ribs)

**This amount of sauce is enough for four large country style ribs, so cook extra as they are delicious the next day or can be frozen once cooked and warmed up without all the work next week!

In a sauce pan bring all ingredients, except meat, to a boil. Simmer for five minutes and let cool. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Baste meat with some sauce and let sit for a few minutes before cooking. Cook covered in a pan for 30 minutes. Baste with sauce again and return to oven for one hour at 350 degrees, basting once more. There should be quite a bit of juice in the pan at this time. Turn ribs over, baste with sauce and pan dripping and cook uncovered at 300 degrees for one and a half hours or until tender and falling off the bone. During this last phase of cooking, you should turn and baste ribs with sauce and drippings about every half hour.

Sally's BBQ ribsThis time of year, you might want to serve the ribs with garlic mashed or baked potato and oven roasted green beans. Set your table with a checkered table cloth and a vase of daisies and enjoy your summer time feast without the mosquitoes!
