Why the fritter? Well, we know for many of you, EHF is the first and only place you have ever experienced this delectable treat. What makes it so special? Is it the fact that it is light and fluffy, drenched in maple syrup and topped with powdered sugar? Or could it be that it is so much fun to have a bit of dessert before dinner?

Take a minute to share why the EHF fritter is special to you…

The East Hill Farm fritter, what to say. To experience the warm and sweet flavorful delight that is the fritter is to enter an unanticipated pleasure center of the brain. Corn, blueberry, honey freaking almond, for gosh sakes. While some guests eschew the chance for this miniature delight, having only considered the calories perhaps, I say go for it or YOLO as the young ones would have it, You Only Live Once. So many of our Farm activities are once a year occurrences, from water-skiing to mountain-climbing, you must add the fritter to the list of things-not-to-be-missed during your Farm vacation.

My family as been going to the farm for 19 years, and have had many fritters. But beyond that…we started our fritter vacations when our daughters were very young. Now they are 22 and 19 and never want to miss this vacation! It is a place where children can be children. When the bell rings, they know where to go to find the activity, whether it is a scavenger hunt, adults vs kids dodgeball, arts and crafts, trail rides, petting the bunnies or story time and much more. There are always comforting cookies available and bags of food to feed the animals. The meals are fabulous, the chef is terrific, waiters and waitresses serve with a smile, and buffets on the lawn overlooking the mountain are amazing. Teens have a blast with their activities, doing obstacle courses, swimming, water-skiing and way more. Adults can relax, read, play tennis, get massages, enjoy the magic show, dancing, hiking, mountain climbing, bingo and trying to beat the staff at volleyball. Many families come back the same time each year and have grown to know each other. Both adults and children keep in touch. The rooms are meticulous with cleaning done daily. The staff is always available. The owners are beautiful people that care about their guests and have developed this resort into an incredible and adventurous vacation spot. If you were to put a Disney Cruise on a piece of land in New Hampshire and remove the ship, you would have the Inn at East Hill Farm. With Love and Gratitude for years of pure joy, The Findlay Family

I have the big 4-0 approaching this year and I do believe my first year at the farm was in the early 80s. From fritters to families, we have made timeless bonds because of the Farm. To say that I am looking forward to returning next year is an understatement, as we will be introducing the next generation, my niece, to everything we know and love about the Inn. Thank you Adams family, from the bottom of our hearts! Through all of the ups and downs life throws our way, each and every year we had the Farm, and that has come to mean more than anything!
